Public housing waiting list is available now.!!
Mesmerizing Reflections
I waited for 2.5 years to get into their housing. Any issues or concerns I bring up are dealt with appropriately. I like DCHA and am glad I didn't go with OHA. They never responded to any messages I left. The wait list is long, but definitely worth the wait.

This place is about the most disturbing place ever the women here are rude especially Lori H my daughter had her voucher she turned it into an apartment an the receptionist was slow so she took her deposit an took it to another place not once when my daughter was on the phone with Lori confirming the reason she was denied was because the receptionist did not look at the price correct an it was over her voucher Lori should of mentioned to her her voucher was expired but she did not so now my daughter an her 4 year old are homeless thanks Alot section you guys are useless

No they are not. And also in 2 different locations. Douglas County Housing is on 108th and Fort behind the Methodist Clinic. They cover housing is Omaha, Valley, Waterloo, I THINK in Blair, and possibly another town. I'm not sure what area OHA covers. I hope this helps :)
You have to call and schedule one. However, they are not taking any applications for the section 8 housing voucher right now. You have to fill out a pre-application for their other housing they own to make sure you qualify for it.

No, they are not. They open the lists once per year.
Who excepting general assistance in Omaha or anywhere in Douglas County New to Omaha need help with information!!
I'm a bit confused by the question and the 1st answer! But the best thing to do would be to call in the morning and ask for sure. If You are talking about a rent increase that is case by case, if You are talking about a class please call to make sure the dates have not changed. 402-444-6203
You have to go into office to apply for public housing, however if interested in section 8, then you'd have to wait until sign ups are open, typically put into OWH, waiting list just closed.
