Inadequate customer service today @3:30 pm at the Union Blvd. location in Bethlehem, PA due to the lone cashier who was standing near register as we walked in, munching and sipping a beverage. I will omit her name for security sake. Since we shopped this location a few years ago, pre Covid, the entrance area now showcases ALL the different types of furniture and the cashier stations are enclosed in this merchandise set up where you walk past the furniture and there’s no immediate access to the registers and have to walk AROUND all the speed tables to get to the first register. So, we walked in, and encountered ALL the overwhelming merchandise stacked along the aisle and no CLEAR path to the registers. I saw a man in the far corner of furniture department and asked if there was a cashier available to process my return. He called to her and lo and behold, there she was, standing, trying to avoid the interaction. I walked over and she didn’t say A WORD. Not sure what she was thinking just standing there EASTING AND DRINKING on shift. It’s post Covid and companies have a difficult time employing people. So the people who work either show up and work or show up and slack off. She processed the return after she called the furniture manager for help with a product number and nothing from her . . . just CRICKETS!!! After the return was completed, I asked to speak to a manager. Danielle, the manager, listened to my experience and told me she would speak to her. Totally unacceptable!! People that don’t want to work should find a volunteer position feeding the infirmed or washing dogs at an animal shelter.

This, by far, the best Big Lots. It's a big store. Clean. Lots of items to choose from.

Great store for the most random items...although you didn't know you needed... until you find them at a great price.

Walk in and the floors are dirty. Seems unorganized and crammed compared to other Big Lot's. Drove out of my way to get a pool that might not even work. For some reason I could not load my 20% coupon but you could see the email that I was sent stating I had one. The cashier was going to give me my service % off but would not give me the 20% w/o coupon. Mgr. Suggested I go home print it out and come back. NO I was an hr away. Then he suggested I buy it at reg price and take it to another store once I printed out my coupon and see if they would give me the % off. Too much if a hassle for a product that may or may not work. Not sure why it couldn't have been manually entered. Won't be going out of my way for that store again.
