A well stocked store awaited me and I got great deals on the salted cashews $1.00 and peanuts. The pet food and treats aisle was amazing and contained a wide variety of stuff for our little friends. 2 cashiers sped things along at checkout. Go sometimes...recommended.

They have quite the cheap Xmas section. We picked up a bunch of cheap decorations. If you have kids that will break your family heirlooms then this is the spot to hit. And as usual the staff was awesome!

If I could rate this 0 star, I would! I witnessed on multiple occasions frozen food being left out to the point where it's defrosted and then restocked. Etremely rude employees, ghetto like setting.

Unfortunately, this Dollar General was a mess! As soon as I walked in the store all I could see is clutter everywhere, boxes in the middle of the isles filled with product (this had to be some sort of code violation) and hardly any items were marked for xmas clearance- this was shocking to me since the day before I shopped at another DG location outside of Wilkesbarre and they had great deals on the same xmas items i found at this Wilkesbarre store (which weren't marked down and still ringing up full price) and they were neatly placed in a clearance section for an easy find unlike the Wilkesbarre store that had so many items in disarray. I grabbed a few things I knew for sure would be considered xmas items and asked to get a price check. Well to no ones surprise it was ringing up full price so I asked the cashier if I could have the item marked down correctly and she yelled over to the manager across the room and asked him to come over. She told him about the pricing and my request and before I knew it they were both offering me different prices as if it was an auction... i was at a loss for words, in complete shock...I was embarrassed. I decided not to take the item they were clearly overpricing. I don't think I will be stepping foot in this DG location EVER again... they need new management and I'd recommend better training in customer service... I would not recommend shopping at this particular location at all. Honestly doesnt even deserve the 1 star. Super disappointed consumer.
