We came to 5 oaks to purchase a large caliper tree. While on site, we saw a cherry tree we like, so purchased it. We needed a landscaper to pick it up to plant it. They gave us a name of one but said we couldn’t contact them. They would give them our name and would be the go between. When we finally came in contact with the landscaper, they came out to the house and said they could landscape our yard, plant the tree etc. The tree was planted wrong, still in the metal cage and they wouldn’t listen to our desire to have drip ran to the tree along with another tree. Long story short, they ran sprinklers to everything, so we fired them. Mentioned this story because it rippled back to the nursery. We hired a certified tree person and she said the cherry tree had canker. She cut it out so when we went back to 5 oaks to tell them about it, the lady that works the counter came out to the car and when the owner walked up she told him, “these were the people they talked about!” Very rude owner, very rude staff, and they don’t stand behind their products. No guarantees on any of their plants, is what they said. You’re on your own. If you buy something and it has issues, plan on a fight! A shady outfit! Stay clear! Plenty of other great nursery’s in the area; no need to suffer with this one.

We have been running port city lawn care since 2013. I purchased plants from the old management without any complaints. The new owners implemented a strict paperwork policy to record your LLC licensing. and I decided to go elsewhere. This year a friend said their plants were the best around so I decided to return -LLC in hand. When I got there I was told our company name is already in the system as a “contractor“, which I immediately assumed meant landscape contractor. A few days later I called to remind myself of one of the plant prices and she quoted half what I had just paid and immediately backpedaled. I asked to run this by the owner, calculating that I had paid around $500 over what I would’ve been charged at the other local wholesale nurseries- or if I had presented my LLC certificate (not requested)- unfortunately we have been brushed aside by customer services and not able to speak with ownership (frustrating to say the least!)- I feel very upset of not being slightly more savvy- it is painful every time I play back this unfortunate turn of events- will go back to TINGA for now: they have always been 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Paid over $200 for a small Birch tree And 2 months later only half the tree grew they told me tough luck would never buy another thing there again What a rip off!!! Response to owner Yes it is the same tree that came from your nursery Yes I have the receipt and it says it is a 30 gallon river Birch single stem At the time you had approximately 8 to 10 in stock With the price of $199.99. I paid for it on February 22nd 2019 and picked it up one week later the 1st week of March. It was at the same time that you were getting a new bridge board walk out front. I purchased the river Birch and also and October glory Maple at the same time the Maple is doing fine the river Birch is not. I showed the lady in your office a picture of both trees and I also had Had my receipt With me She said That was too bad that she had never seen that before and I should call a Master Gardener to come look at it . She also said she had only working there about six weeks .I had over 10 Pictures to show her but that didn't matter much. I think that's disgraceful for a tree that was picked up their 1st week of March and only half of it has sprouted any leaves and will now have to be replaced.

Ordered plants for pickup. 3 varieties of indica azalea. Got there to pick them up and noticed the plants had no tags identifying the varieties. I asked the "kid" helping me. His response: " you are the landscaper, shouldn't you know the difference ". Owner informed me that "no" wholesale nursery tags their plants. They tried to tag them .what a mess. They are blooming now.7 of 16 plants were the wrong variety. YOU TAG PLANTS WHEN THEY GO INTO THE POT!!! They know not......
