We were in downtown Harrisonburg looking for food... Happened to find Taj of India; loving Indian food we decided to give it a try... Very pleasantly surprised as Indian can a be a little hit & miss, especially outside of large cities. Service was timely & the food excellent. We had enough leftover for dinner the next night, even day-old the food was still very good. Would consider visiting the place again.

Best Indian Food in town! My fiancé and I go here frequently. We recently went to the Sunday buffet for the first time and were super impressed with the selection, especially for the price. Everything was really good as always.

We love going to the lunch buffet on Sundays! The food is super good and the staff are always friendly. The food is fresh because many people go to the buffet, but we've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for seating. There are vegetarian options as well! I love the eggplant salad item and the naan. The available food items rotate from time to time so sometimes we'll get to try something entirely new that we've never had before. My husband and I don't typically like chai but we figured we would try it here and we love it! It's got a cinnamon-cardamom flavor and is sweet, but it's definitely something that's delicious and warming. Highly recommend!

Our JMU team loves this restaurant's food and the staff was good to us but today I seen the manager yell at a disabled customer and his table about wasting food on the buffet. It seem like the disabled customer had a little kid I'd say was 10 years old or younger, that didn't finish everything on the plate and an adult female in which I think she said the spices in the food made her sick and couldn't eat everything. I assume that the manager's intent was good, but the manager shouldn't have yelled and argue with a customer like that especially when that said tried to explain why the other guests didn't finish their plates. The manager also started to TALK to another table of customers relating the same topic, just more politely and didn't yell at those customers which seems to be very discriminating.
