My fiance and I became homeless because she was being emotionally abused by our roommate, so...after walking across town to arrive and be told "I'm sorry but we don't accept service animals. I have endstage emphysema and cardio-vascular erhythmia. Rainy nights outside...thank you Grants Pass Rescue Mission, you just might have killed me.

The women's house is ran like a jail & discriminates according to the kind of day, week the staff is having. The staff is generally out of control

From a outside prospective looking in on everything going on. It is a horrible place with a lot of broken people. This is a place you should be lifting your peers and encouraging them. Instead they work their hardest to tear eachother apart. This place is not easy to live at. Physically the work load is okay. The harassment, taking down to eachother, talking poorly about other, cussing at your kids yelling at them non stop is not a healthy environment for anyone. Specially those who are trying to better their life. They need someone in this facility that is paid to stay 24/3 and then switch with someone else because with nobody in an authoritative role above a RA is not working. I hope they get this all figured out for the resitents that live here.

Want to change your life? Try this place. If you are looking for a soup kitchen or emergency shelter, this is NOT the place! However, if you are looking to change your life, become independent, and leave homelessness behind for good... the Gospel Rescue Mission in Grants Pass is the place where that can happen. They have a 30 Day Program, which means you set up goals with the coordinator upon intake, and each month you are reviewed on your progress. As long as you are making good progress and sticking to the program, they will let you stay another 30 days until your next review. Achieving independence can be a lot of work, but this place will guide you on how to do it successfully.

Probably. Do ask. It is a wonderful program for women and men who are homeless and want to get their live back on track. Another place to check is Faith House. They are in the phone book. Located in town.
They dont do only that. They do 30 day program only. But some time they alow it.
Any thing
Both of the previous answers are correct. They work to support men and women as they rebuild their lives. Their buildings are almost new and very attractive. Food is excellent. Lots of rules. New arrivals can expect to have a comfortable bed, in company with other residents.
Look them up and call them? They'll protect his residency, but could give him messages? I know someone staying there. I'll ask him. Edit: I asked a resident. He's not there.
The woman's side hired a Children's Coordinator in November. Call and speak with her about how you can be of assistance.
Each resident can stay for 30 days and as long as they can show that they are making progress towards becoming independent and following our program they can re-apply every 30 days. We will work with residents for as long at it takes to achieve that goal which varies for each person.
Donations can be made online via the Mission website: http://gospelrescuemissiongp.org/donate
We always have a bed available! Your rent will be to better yourself! We are always looking forward to walking with people that are willing and eager to leave homelessness behind.
No.. You could enroll in our 30 day program?
The Grants Pass Gospel Rescue Mission two residences, one for women and their children, and also women without kids. The other for men. Facilities are a bit nicer for the women, and those with kids often get their own room. Older boys (16?) may need to be with the men. Meals in both houses are good. GRM is a place to rebuild one's life. Individual medical, mental health and spiritual support is provided. So are leadership opportunities. Everyone works, generally starting with housekeeping chores, then other work around the mission. Later they can get jobs in the community while still staying at the mission. Attendance at Bible study is required. Becoming a Christian is not. GRM is a great place for people who want to get their life on track.
Call and ask one of the RA's they will explain how the mission works and its rules
9am to 4pm Monday through Friday.
Yes, all of our facilities are exclusively for those enrolled in our program. However, Christian Services Network has showers available to the public. They are located at 1360 NE 9th St here in Grants Pass.
It is a nicotine, all other drugs and alcohol free faith based rehabilitation center. After successfully completing the intake process and one on one interview with GRM Staff you will be asked to take an initial drug test and random tests will be administered throughout a persons stay. It's an absolute policy: no being under the influence or have trace amounts of any drug in a persons system. Honesty is the best policy while residing at the mission.
The mission takes clothes and other items as well best options is to call and find out
Any single woman or women with children. The men stay in the Wagner house next door.
