Cute little western town near Mesa Arizona, there is lots of history here. They have a few stores, a place for Ice Cream and of course the Saloon. I love that this little town of about 6 people keeps up with the spirit of the old days. It gets crowded here on the weekends and in the summer it's HOT! It was a nice drive here for a drink and lunch.

Great pit stop. Super friendly staff. We had cheese curds and they were fantastic (portion small but perhaps that was because they were so good and went fast). Carne Asada nachos we very good. Love the saddles at the bar. Yes - $ bills cover the walls of this place - each with a note.

Must see. Beautiful fun drive, delicious food, great prickly pear lemonade. Everyone that works there is very friendly. Make sure you order a draft root beer, get some Gelato from the ice cream shop, and forget your jacket at home because they have some really cute ones for sale 😁

We had a fantastic experience visiting Tortilla Flat. The killer chili is fantastic as well as the prickly pear lemonade. Solid chicken tendys, too! We are super interested in coming back for breakfast some time when in Arizona.

My suggestion is get on the road early! They open at 9 and if you arrive around 10:00-10:30 you won't experience too much of a delay. When we left to return home at 11:30 there was a mile long line of traffic heading in!
I tried the pulled pork and fries. I wasn't impressed. Way to much sauce and the sauce was very sweet. I could tell there was pulled meat, but the flavor of the meat was lost in the sauce. The fries were good. And the dollar bills everywhere was something. I asked the waitress how much money was in the walls and she said over $350,000 was on the walls. The restaurant is huge and there's not a surface anywhere there wasn't a dollar bill. Pretty interesting. But the pulled pork, the recipe leaves a lot the be desired. Beautiful drive up there.
It is closed at the end of town, you can't drive up to Apache Lake, and the department of transportation down here has no immediate plans of opening it anytime soon but as for tortilla flat the tiny Town? That is open
I am the town manager for Tortilla Flat. The road is completely done down to the bridge right past the town at tortilla creek. The crews will be working over the next few weeks to complete the 6 miles of pavement past the town up to where the dirt road begins. It is now a nice smooth drive all the way down to town.
Crew's wearing mask at all time, customers wearing mask also except if you are in the table.
It's open now
You can't go farther than Tortilla Flat, then it's blocked off.
