I take my little one often to this park before she started school and she usually has a great time as long as their are other kids around her to play. She seems a little disappointed if there aren't many kids there. Now I take here to the park less often because she prefers The Cove more. Water fountains available but they seem to be turned off during the winter. Restrooms sometimes have toilet paper, but I usually keep toilet paper in my trunk just in case they are out of toilet paper. Bathrooms don't usually have hand soap or paper towels so bring hand sanitizer or your own hand soap. There are several festivals held at the park throughout the year but the best ones are the ones hosted by the MWR. They also have a Farmer's Market there every Thursday. The ramadas are available to rent and The Cove is available to rent for birthday parties. There is a large grass field and adequate shading available.

Went to the Memorial Day celebration - organization of the booths was a little haphazard but generally a good time. The park itself is nice but somewhat under-developed; I didn't notice any nature paths / bike paths and the kids' area was on the other side. Shade trees appear limited to along the road side; given the summer heat, more shaded areas and water would be an improvement.

Love the newer play sets built for the kids. This past visit, even though it was really busy, the park was quite clean. There are a number of benches and seating areas to rest at. And if you get too hot the pool is next door. It's located in a great spot in town because there are so many things close by and it's easy to get to. This is where most the fairs and markets are held as well.

Beautiful large park. Perfect place to take your family, and pets for a day of fun. There's enough space and things to do for everyone. The reason I gave this park 4 stars outta 5 are the people who come through this park. I just took my family here a few minutes ago. When we arrived I noticed two girls goofing off in a car next to us. I brushed it off till I noticed one of the girls had her phone smashed up against her window taking photos or video of my kids and husband. I kept an eye on these girls for about a good 20 minutes just sitting around. Then they moved their car to the very front of the park near the entrance. Where they continued to just sit in the car. I'm assuming taking photos and/or videos of people. It's just creepy, unusual, and unsettling. Especially with all the human trafficking we hear about. Please keep an eye out for people like this. And keep two eyes on your children at all times. I included a picture of the girls in their car.

Arizona is an open carry state... If you have a concealed permit, then that is likely to be legal too.
