So we've wanted to try this place for years, and it didn't disappoint. The guacamole was fresh, we tried the calabacita de mole enchiladas and the chicken mole enchiladas both were great. The tres leches dessert was unlike any I've ever had, it was great . The service was outstanding, Cesar was fantastic server. Couple of things to note though it is pricey to eat here, so know that ahead of time. Also they're just getting back to in house service so food takes a bit to come out. Overall super happy to support a local business.

Creativity abound in the plating of their dishes! Colorful wall murals inside and outside of the restaurant. Staff were friendly, attentive, and ready to answer our curiosity questions. The restaurant’s spin on fresh guacamole with pomegranates was colorful and tasty and definitely worth trying. Dishes involving chicken is a hit or miss - not consistently prepared and leaning towards dry overcooked. Terrific visual experience but be prepared with your wallet/purse - don’t try to justify the menu prices - just enjoy the experience! Be aware parking will be a big challenge, and look cautiously for signs around the building specifying “No Barrio Cafe Parking.”

Absolutely OUTSTANDING. Definitely definitely get the pomegranate guacamole - it’s absolutely incredible. Lots of good flavor, made to order, and the pomegranate lightens everything so you don’t end up feeling quite so full, AND you get a nice citrus addition with the pomegranate. Will definitely be back the next time I return to Phoenix.

The food was really good. We love the guacamole. The service is terrible. If you have loads of time and you want to take hours to eat you will love every thing about this place. Come for the food and it’s all good

Missed DDD but you can't go wrong with any dish here. I would recommend cochinita pabil and a margarita. Delicious
If you care about the overall experience (i.e. service, quality) then yes.
Yes they have a nice little patio. It's right by the entrance
Same as all restaurants. Mask until you get to your table.
I would contact them through the site directly.
Anytime at those times
Their website says: Enjoy live music in the dining room each Thursday thru Saturday nights and on Sunday afternoons
Rated #1 Mexican restaurant in the country for a reason. I first saw it on DDD, now go at least once a month. Also after dinner try the Churros, OMG They are amazing!!
It's almost like a gourmet Mexican restaurant...totally delicious
