Friendly and knowledgeable! I appreciate how friendly the staff are given how "bro-ish" surfing culture can be. I had been there a few times for smaller items, and then decided to shop for a new board once my old one had given up the ghost. I had a nice conversation with one of the younger staff about different possibilities. Ended up with a nice "grow into" board that I'm loving. Great repairs, as well. I had to bring my board back after getting a little too close to the rocks at high tide at the Jetty. Quick, good, and inexpensive repairs.

I had already reviewed Sonlight as 5 stars, but on thinking about it the service it has been so top notch it deserves a written review. Every time I've come to this shop the staff have been so friendly and so welcoming, especially the owner (I'm so sorry I'm bad with names!), such a good atmosphere. Very beginner friendly and so far every step of my surfing experience has been supported by these guys. Today really sealed the deal though after a private lesson with Alex. In one session I feel like I made tremendous progress, if nothing else knowing where I had been going wrong and managed to catch some beautiful waves in the process. Can't thank these guys enough or say how highly recommended they come by me.
