Good jazz musicians, but the club is a little bit small. The cocktails and food are really expansive too, especially considering the club is in the worst neighbourhood in the whole USA probably (which means 0 or negative rent there). Overall had a good time though.

Fantastic cocktails and intimate space to listen to music. Make sure to take a taxi/Uber/Lyft so that you can enjoy the night without having to work about how to get home.

Paid for a seat and ended up spending the evening looking at a column that blocked the entire stage. Paid $18 per cocktail while waiting for a show that started over an hour late. Was very excited for this place but I cannot recommend.

Great place for live jazz with great atmosphere. Had the Brussels sprouts and the burrata, both were very good, and the sliders (not as good). The food is pretty pricey and they make you spend a minimum of $30 which I wasn't a fan of... But otherwise fun place!

Different bands often with the help of recurring local musicians. You can find the scheduled bands on Black Cat website. But sometimes it is good to take a chance and you may discover a band that will pleasantly surprise you 😊
Only street parking. It's in a sketchy part of town, so if you are driving in, I would recommend parking somewhere else and catching a ride to the club.
We just walked in when we went but I would think if it was a huge act or a weekend you should book something before hand. We went on a Sunday night on the last night of the group's 5 night series so we were able to get a seat at the bar but it was still pretty busy.
You will be doing your best
I danced there with my friends. There not too too much room for a lot of dancing but we didn't care and had soooooo much fun dancing anyways. LOVE THIS PLACE
The late show is trumpet player Theo Croker...insanely talented and creative, everyone should go
