Wendover KOA Journey

Very disappointed. We have stayed at KOA’s in the past with bad experiences. We hoped this stay would be different. No such luck. The electric hook ups must be problematic. The breaker kept tripping so constant reset. Our neighbors also had electric issues. There was a distinctive sewer smell so didn’t want to be outside. There were unleashed dogs some with collars and some not roaming freely. Also the grounds could be cleaned up. Poor excuse for an RV Resort.

Sketchiest KOA I have ever stayed at. Staff was not the friendliest. Basically dirt patch. Next day both vehicles were full of moths....no idea how they got in but took several miles to lose them all. Pretty pricey. Wouldn't stay again unless no other options.

This KOA, despite having a nice 23 year experienced host, was mediocre at best, which probably accounted for a 60-70% vacancy rate on the weekend we were there. KOA's have the best WiFi's. NOT HERE. No WiFi in park except at office. Apparently few 50-amp and sewer sites. My 56', when attached, 5th-wheel stuck out over both ends of a supposed 60' site. As a KOA, where I expect better, I give it a 1-star. Overall, compared to all RV parks, I give it a middle of the pack 3-stars.

The facility is nice but the location is something to be desired. You hear semis hitting rumble strips all night long. The tent camping area borders a trailer park where ferrel cats run rampent and fight all night. The casinos are loud. Other than that the facility, showers, bathrooms were all clean and well organized. I also swear I saw some UFOs! I saw lights over the town and then they flew off in the distance without a sound. Quite the memorable area. Did not sleep well because of the noise but it could be worse :)
