Once you get past the smell, during brine shrimp season, this is a really neat place. We did a boat/float tour of the lake. What a great time. The salty water made your skin and hair feel fantastic the next day.

One of the best nature places in Salt Lake City. A bit of a drive from the city. Walk on the lake's shore. If clear and sunny, great view of lake, mountains. The ranger station is helpful w answers. Buy a small container of salt for your table. Spectacular view of stars at night. I also recommend Antelope Island.

We loved the beautiful landscape of this State Park. Its close to SLC downtown and can be added to ones iteniary even if you are in the city for a day or two. There is parking available and a small visitor center too. We took some beautiful pictures besides the lake. My kids enjoyed the rock structures and also made some. The sand was slightly wet and ruined my kids shoes cuz they were not careful enough. It would be wise to come in crocs or beach sandals. We went in April and therw were no bugs or unbearable smell contrary to some of the reviews. Maybe it was the weather. I recommend this place for anyone who likes scenic places and would like to experience a different kind of lake.

Amazing. Staff are polite. Disability friendly. And a breathtaking site to see. It is also near a gold and copper refinery. Great place to see natural salt deposits that form right on the beach! There are bathroom facilities. A nice marina too. Good for early spring to fall exploration. There is a 5.00 fee to get in.

I don't recommend it it's just too far the walking @Scott Reid
There are a few spots for RV camping, you can reserve a spot on reserveamerica.com
Yes you can, there's a marina right there.
The gate itself is open from sunrise to sunset. If you want to check in for camping you'll want to be there before 8 pm in order to get the codes for the gate and shower.
Most likely not. But worth the $5 entrance fee.
There is a $5 entrance fee for a vehicle up to 8 people and over 8 people there is a $20 entrance fee
They have outdoor rinse off showers. The parking attendant says the first few feet smell because if the flies but once you get past that it is very pleasant. We did not give it a try, but other people were swimming.
