Beautiful park with so much to do. Playground, roller rink, skate park, trails to walk, massive soccer fields, and a covered area with picnic tables.

It's a nice park, perfect for the kids to practice biking. With big fields and a playground to keep any toddler occupied for sometime. It has something for everyone. We went on 4/14/21 and the port pottie was on site. A real plus these days. For a relaxed stroll and a chance for the kids to run definitely worth the visit. Went there today 3/29/22, the park is still nice, though as of today the restrooms were not open and there was no porta pottie. Still the kids had fun.

We do allow dogs on a leash and provided their waste is picked up. Bags are provided at entrance and barrels are on site.

If you want to have a picnic you need to make a reservation with the Parks & Recreation office. Two ways, either call; 978-664-6016 or make a reservation request at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfrLgkbBO5g-roc64cN-u9J4Ozq_GNgLXF-5Grg-L6K9HU7gw/viewform?formkey=dFlLNTlmTG4tbWlPWmdGaUpSeXNoN0E6MQ#gid=0 We are very booked with reservation but it would depend on the day and time you need. In answer to the people below, DON'T "just do it" as many people take out reservations, pay their fee who have first right of the space and if the Parks Director finds a group without a reservation, he either asks them to leave or makes them pay the permit fee. Ipswich River Park, North Reading is a SELF FUNDED park and all of its maintenance, improvements and beautification come from fees and donations. There is fishing. Please follow all rules regarding licensing. Thank you.
There are no lifeguards and personal safety would be of issue.
You are correct. Gate not locked but monitored after dark.
We have hired a Contractor to fix and all supplies are received. I'll check on the progress today.
