I go here all the time. It’s a nice easy walk with a cool tunnel as a payoff at almost exactly 2 miles in. You can walk further too if you’re looking for a little more.

Awesome hike on flat ground. Cool tunnel at the end, lots of history. Clean bathrooms with parking. Great job PA Park service. You can bike or hike. Small gravel surface.

Great little quiet park. We seen a good bit of wildlife. The trail is pretty flat so taking the kids was great. I will suggest a flashlight for the tunnel part. The kids got kinda scared in there in the dark. Found some really cool carving on the tunnel. Some as old as 1805. We will definitely be visiting again.

Questions & Answers

Is the tunnel wide enough to fit a crossover through? I would like to get a few pictures on the outside of the tunnel on both sides.

There is no vehicle access at this park to the tunnel. It is a short bike ride or a medium length walk to the tunnel. If needed I would be happy to help ferry your gear. Bring lights since the inside of the tunnel is worth photographing as well.
