We had a celebration of life for my Mama and Cousin. It was a beautiful park!! We enjoyed ourselves!!

We were looking for a park & place to eat our supper with a little shade. A long bench was right near the parking area, which worked out for the kids to listen to the radio. My younger kiddo wanted to visit the playground, but it was right next to a pavilion already being used by a group.

If you want to be sure one is open for you then I would say yes. Chances are that one would be open; but if you want to be sure reserve it.
You can take your dog, but it is not a dedicated dog park. I am not positive but I think a leash is 'required'
