We had Cabin #6 this last weekend. The cabin was awesome - clean with everything you need for a getaway weekend or even a weeks vacation. The owners are great! The little store they have has everything that you might have forgotten. The cabins are not very close so you do have privacy and room to move. It's a very quiet area. I highly recommend these cabins and would definitely recommend them.

These cozy cabins were great - exactly as described. I would recommend you bring firestarters, kindling and some newspapers to help with starting a fire. Also bring charcoal to use the nice Weber charcoal grill. Very hospitable hosts! Thank you!

Our cabin (#5) was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. I also loved that our backyard and firepit were secluded from the neighboring cabins. Best of all, we could bring our dog for a reasonable cost. However, the lengthy rules posted all over the cabin was off-putting. I realize some people don't have common sense, and that can cost money. But posting rules in 6 different places in the cabin doesn't create a relaxing atmosphere. I also didn't appreciate having to pay an extra $5-$10 for guests or $15 per day to use the AC. We paid for a cabin that slept 8 people. I expect that cost to cover cabin use and utilities of 8 people. There were only two of us, and my dad wanted to stay a night. He stayed elsewhere because we didn't want to pay more after being charged more than enough to warrant one extra guest for a night. The nightly fee should cover the costs of the use of the cabin and amenities at full capacity. Otherwise, we had a nice stay. Check-in/check-out was super fast and easy. There was plenty of firewood for us. It’s close to all the best shops and activities in CF. I loved that we could book for fewer than 7 days. We didn’t use the hot tub, but it’s great to know it’s there; it’s the first campsite I’ve stayed at in CF that has one. And Paula is very nice.

I would have given this a 5 if their hot tub had been open like they advertised and even showed on the sign as you pull in. I purposely chose Hominy because of a friend that had stayed there and told me how pretty everything was and the hot tub. It was our anniversary and surprise engagement last weekend. We went for a hike at Cook's Forest and we were really hoping to relax our muscles. Also, the wood we had to buy ( which I don't mind buying, that's fine) was horrible and didn't burn at all. It made the whole cabin smoke. We had the flu wide open, stacked the wood properly, and aerated the fire place. It was so bad we had to use the box fan to circulate the air and my face swelled like I had been crying. Other than those two things, the cabin was absolutely beautiful! The open scheme, color choices, log furniture, and couch/bed comfort was great. I just really wish we could have enjoyed it a little more or maybe my expectations were to high.
