Ok, let's face it, nobody loves dealing with their internet and cable TV provider. But, I have to say, dealing with Spectrum has been a new low in customer service. My mother had passed away and needed to cancel accounts for 2 properties. It took me 2 weeks and over 5 hours on the phone to cancel two accounts. I was bounced from person to person and made promises they did not keep, phone calls left unreturned, emails to be sent that were never sent, etc... As a matter of fact, they couldn't find one of my mother's accounts and told me that the account number on last month's bill didn't exist..... And every time I called, I would start all over again. Funny how they can take over $50k in 16 years, but couldn't find the account when I needed help. I was left on hold twice for over 45 minutes and twice for over 30 minutes. Once, I was assured the account was cancelled with a 0 balance, I received a bill for several hundred dollars and was told to ignore it. I'm sure they will keep sending bills, since they can't seem to do anything else right. Over the past 16 years, the internet service was constantly going down and their service was just as poor. Hours on the phone to get reconnected. The TV service never seemed to have a problem though. If you have a choice, avoid them. Find an alternative solution. There is a complete lack of customer service and care.

Long hold times. Recording says "someone will be right with you" but they should just be honest and tell you they won't be with you for an hour. Make sure your cell phone is charged. The customer service in their Wells, Maine office is non-existent. Bring your lunch as you'll wait forever to talk with someone who doesn't have the tools to help in any way. Wish there were an alternative to this unbelievably frustrating-to-deal-with company. One star is being generous.

Literally the most incompetent company EVER. It's not like you have a choice, but this company should be avoided AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been trying to cancel service due to the death of the account holder and they won't let me. 14 hours on the phone over the course of a week and they refuse to cancel the account unless I can bring a death certificate to the local office in Wells, ME. I live in Florida. We're in the midst of a pandemic. Absolutely outrageous!

If they have two people working there it is shocking and only because they are overlapping each other for about a half hour. Average wait time, for anything, is minimally an hour and a half. Most times it is over 2 hours. All I had to do is swap out a new remote! ABSOLUTELY pathetic!
