Had a fantastic rafting trip thanks to wilderness voyageurs! Rafted "middle yough" in July the rapids were mild, which was the perfect level for a family with just a little bit of experience!

In our experience at Wilderness Voyagers, we had the best time. Our tour guide was Brian and he was funny, easy to get along with, and very charismatic. The river was also very fun while being the perfect amount of challenging. Brian if you’re seeing this- Top Notch Spartans forever!

I have not yet been a customer, but will most certainly consider Wilderness Voyagers for my future exploration needs. Why? On my return biking journey on the GAP Trail (Meyersdale to Frostburg), I noticed that I was beginning to have complications such as cramping and exhaustion from diminished electrolytes. Thank goodness I found one of your tour vans approximately 2 miles before the Great Savage Tunnel. The gentleman a friend of mine spoke to was so kind to give me some water, powder and some pretzels. This made all the difference in the world. This really did save the day and avert any further issues. For that…I am extremely grateful.

Overall the experience was positive. The 9 mile trek down the middle Yough was beautiful to look at. The explanation of mild rapids along with an online photo of a middle age person and a child traversing the river was a little misleading for what our experience turned out to be. The water levels constantly forced me out of our duckie to pull it off the rocks, and on multiple occasions our craft nearly submerged when twirling through "mild rapids", the couple behind us did get tossed from their kayak. After a grueling 9 miles, "you" have to carry your kayak/raft up a ramp and walk your equipment back to the offices. (about .5 mile). The employees were professional and courteous and the store and shower area is really well maintained. I think I would do a guided tour in the future and not a solo trip again.

They have tons of different packages and activities. We went with a group so the pricing would be a bit different because we had a whole package. I would really call them and tell them what it is you want and they can give you a price easily. Our group has been going annually for a few years now
No you do not need to call ahead. We are open every day.
Duckie rentals are $35, rafts for the middle are $26 and about $30 for the lower. Those are the private rental prices we also offer guided trips. Give us a call and we can assist your further!
If you're renting recreation kayaks for the day it's $35 a person. You cannot take those down the white water lower section of the river but you could take them down the middle or up to the lake. Transportation of the boats would be your responsibility. Or you could reserve a shuttle to the middle. We run shuttles up to the middle put-in twice a day.
The cost would be $55 for the 2 of you. We are extremely busy with shuttles that day. We may be able to accomodate you at a little bit later of a time, or a bit earlier. The easiest thing may be to call our offices and speak with Chelsea to work out some timing.

$198. Well worth the cost. I'll be taking the class again in the next couple of months.
