We've been stopping at the Dairy Parlor, my kids are fascinated with the step and we think they have good ice cream, but their hours make it difficult for us passing through town. Well today we missed the Parlor hours by a few minutes and were turned away. Good for us because we noticed Whit's and we were not disappointed. There selection was spot on, their flavors were great and we all enjoyed our desserts. Even though they don't have a step we all agreed we'll be back.

Although quite understandable... They are open starting March until December. Often full and always delicious, it is rare to come here and not have a line at the ready. It's okay on the line issue as they are fast to serve. The menu is massive I'd suggest choosing from the specialties. The difference in Custard and Ice Cream is dependant on the simple fact that custard has egg yolk whipped in it to give the creamy texture... Whits is delicious and you really don't get the "chain" effect even though they are dotted through Ohio.

Lebanon is a quiet and quaint little town. The frozen custard at Whit's is anything but quiet and quaint. It is bursting with flavor and creamy goodness. Prices are fair and portions are more than reasonable. Rich, but not overly sweet, the ice cream accurately represents the flavor you choose. It also contains healthy portions of the ingredients in it's name (almond joy is full of almonds and chocolate). Whit's does a daily and weekly flavor. I can't say that I've had a bad one. My favorite is still the egg nog that I had last year. Mix that with the chocolate and it's like magic...yin and yang. This is a place that is staffed by younger workers...kids in high school; all are attentive and polite. As you walk through the building you can tell that the owners care about their staff and community. So if you're in the area stop by and give this custard a try, you won't be disappointed.
