Good luck adopting here. They only let people they know and like to adopt. If you don’t have a connection with any of the people working/volunteering here, you won’t even be considered. Don’t get your hopes up.

Great staff here, they were all very friendly! The dog we went to see definitely seemed well socialized and taken care of! Definitely recommend to go if you're looking to add a new pet for the family! The only thing I thought a bit difficult was them requiring three references.

Just adopted my fur baby, Andy. From my first introduction to walking out the door was an excellent experience. Answered many questions, organized paper work, etc. Wonderful staff, clean facility where the animals are the priority, but really care about the adopters as well. I highly recommend Humane Society of Lakewood Ranch.

Just adopted our dog from there. The place is so clean, the kennels are so nice, there's loads of space to play. On the cat side they have an indoor area and a kitty door leading to the catio. Definitely would adopt from here again.
