A great local farm to visit while in season. This is the second lavender farm we have visited. ( the other much larger farm was in Michigan. ) Pond w/ ducks and benches in the shade to relax around. They have a lavender lemonade stand as well. Not sure what variety of lavender they were growing- could probably add a few markers of type and region.

This was a calm, peaceful, laid back way to get outside. There isn't much to do but that ended up being the beauty of it - there's the lavender to cut and a few animals to see (note: not to pet) but there's open space for little ones to get some running out and spots to sit in the shade to take a rest and even a couple picnic tables by the duck pond. It made for a nice couple of hours with a friend.

Primarily June/July in this region, but it also depends on the variety of lavender. Our main variety, Phenomenal, blooms at the end of June and through July. We have another new lavender variety we are learning about, Buena Vista, and it has continued to bloom from July through September.
