Decided to go fishing with my son and girlfriend, got there around 2-3pm. Place overall is very cool, bait shop is very cool. People are very nice, but if you’re going to fish I wouldn’t even bother. We stayed for 7 hours and didn’t get a single bite the entire time. Switched up rigs and fished every depth and no bites.

Nice and relaxing place to fish. They have a play area for the kids too! Plus I guess they let you swim in the pay lake now. I saw some kids swimming in the pay lake with adults near by and I asked a park ranger if that was allowed and she said it’s not illegal.

Historic pay lake with a dock, boats to rent, and a bait shop. Also has access to the river for fishing, Kayaking, canoeing, etc. Nice facilities. Small camp ground also on the property. Although it is in such a close proximity to the highway you will here cars all night long.

They sold me worms that was half dead and they knew it and wouldn't give me back my money... Been here all morning and I haven't seen one person catch a fish...

You can take up to 6 fish, no bass, but catfish, bluegill, crappy, trout, and perch.
Check in at the bait shop and they can give you the details and when this is allowed I do know that there are overnights I don't know that that is available every night.
Hi Jumur, all pets must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet in length when visiting Lake Isabella. If you would like more information, contact the Lake Isabella boathouse at 513-791-1663.
There is a cost for a parking permit. The cost can be differnent depending on if you are a Hamilton County (or possibly Loveland) resident or not. Non residents is $5, I think. You aleays havr the option to buy a yearly parking pass (non-residents = $15ish; I am a non-resident, idk the cost for residents, but it is cheaper) & you can buy the annual pass online also - they will mail it or i believe you can pick it up at the park boathose
Hi Matt, the boathouse has rods and reels for every level of angler. If you're looking for something specific, please call the boathouse directly at 513-791-1663.
