I hadn't been to Chapala's in years and the food is still outstanding. It's definitely rich and the portions are huge, so maybe not the best before a night out but if you just want to get your grub on, this place is a great choice! I would say the service was a little slow and not terribly inviting or friendly - the only drawback from this dining experience.

Friendly and quick service. I ordered a veggie burrito and expected the usual frozen veggie mix, soggy disappointment found at many other locations. INSTEAD, I was impressed that my plate came out with a large portion and PERFECTLY done rice, a side of beans and a VERY WELL done mole sauce, not to mention the entire burrito was done with large, FRESH CUT/STEAMED high end vegetables including zucchini slices, carrots, cauliflower and huge broccoli bits! VERY delicious, large vegetarian menu with affordable options!
