I've been to this restaurant twice now. The first time the food was fresh and delicious, the second visit not so much. The wait staff was great. I guess it's probably as fresh as it can be so far from the coast.

Real, authentic Japanese food! Matsuya has become a staple for me and my husband. They definitely have the best sushi in the Cincinnati area and everything else we've tried tasted amazing! We love bringing friends here to try it and to get an authentic experience and everyone is always so impressed.

Best sushi I have ever had. My stepdaughter said she wished she could press rewind so she could eat it all over again. Highly recommend. We have decided to make this one of our regular places to go out to eat.

Very authentic and good Japanese food, I had several Japanese friends in college and this is the place they recommended the most, hadn't gone there since the pandemic started but it was nice to get some of their great food again. The waitress did bring us the wrong appetizer (ordered tofu and got chicken) but everything else was great. Despite the hiccup, would definitely go there again.
