I had an unexpected emergency with my little cat. She was open mouth breathing, acting lethargic and had a temperature of 105°. I had never done business with this clinic before, and was so nervous they wouldn't help me. They told me to bring in my cat immediately and they'd get her taken care of. Today, my little baby is much better from the meds/antibiotics they administered to her. They saved her life. Thank you so much!

Do you use or plan to use Laughery Valley Veterinary Hospital? Please think twice if so! I started using them last year when River (my great dane) went blind in her right eye. He diagnosed her with Blastomycosis at first and had her on medication for that and sent us to an ophthalmologist in Cincinnati where they said she did not have Blastomycosis but had Glaucoma. Harley Robinson, DVM the vet out there never did any kind of bloodwork or anything past that. So in January River lost vision in her left eye as well and is now completely blind. I made her an appointment to have them check to make sure all was well and had them do routine bloodwork. This was January 17th. They said they would email me the results (which they never did) and call me if anything worrisome showed up. I never heard anything so I figured all was well. Well yesterday I called to have them send me her vet records because I needed them for her Spay surgery which I had to go to another vet for because Laughery Valley Veterinary Hospital were booked way out. And when I got her records in my email I was looking through them and back in January when I had them do the bloodwork she TESTED POSITIVE FOR LYME DISEASE! They never called or emailed me! It's been 2months and after doing research this could be why she lost her vision because it can cause nerve damage to the optic nerve. I'm more than livid this could have been prevented if he would have done bloodwork when it all started. My heart is broken that he could have prevented her blindness had he done his job. But instead diagnosed her with Blastomycosis which is rare compared to Lyme disease.

Excellent emergency care for my Daisy when she got into some mice poison. Very concerning & compassionate care. Daisy is doing just fine!

Questions & Answers

Do you guys treat gineapigs?

These questions do not go to the business owner/operator. They are sent to Google "Local Guides" who have knowledge of locations, recommendations, and such. Unless one of the local guides has personal experience having a guinea pig treated here, you'll need to call the vet when the office opens. I will say that I have always been happy with the treatment they've given my dog, and she is happy and energetic and soon to be 15 years old.

You should probably call and ask. This place is actually relatively expensive but maybe they help out those who can't afford things. Good luck!
