I have been visiting Westtown since I moved to Tampa last July. Westtown is close to my apartment, and I was excited to find a PCA church so close to home. I continue attending Westtown because I do like the preaching, music, and location. However, I know almost no one at the church. No one reaches out to include me in anything. I do not even know the name of the worship leader. I attended the first of two sessions with the pastor at his "new members" class last fall. No one contacted me to find out why I did not attend the second class. I went to the organizational meeting for the Miami missions trip this summer. I had a question about my application, so I emailed the leader of the trip to ask for help, but never got a response. I definitely feel like an outsider at Westtown.

The pastor/deacon who speaks at this church is very knowledgeable in the bible and applies the Word to everyday life in ways people can understand. I learn something new every time I come to this church. The atmosphere is very pleasant and everyone is nice. I have now been coming every Sunday since my first time.

I attempted to attend this church for an easter service. A work friend mentioned it so I figured I would give church a try. It started out a disaster. I barely started to park when a grumpy man was yelling at me to follow traffic. What a way to welcome a newcomer. I guess I deserved it since I was the only one not driving a Mercedes. The parking guy made me feel like I was at a rich people only club. However, the priest seemed down to earth and able to relate. He seemed like a genuine follower and believer of God. I don't know if Ill go again, the people there don't seem that friendly.
