Sent them paperwork a YEAR ago! I was receiving updates until November. Then the website stopped letting me log in and blocked me. I called numerous times in December and finally someone answered. They said they would pass the info to IT, but I attempted to log in last month and was still blocked. I have attempted to call 12 times today and still have not received a response. They also do NOT answer their emails either, as I have sent multiple to them but to no avail. If you're working in a job like this with people's lives in your hands, please answer the phone and stop giving people th run around. *UPDATE* 06/06/2022 I was able to reach someone in the admissions department. They told me their computer system has been down since apparently 11/2021 and that's why I haven't been able to log in. The woman also informed me that even though they sent applications out, nothing was still available. It's been four years now that I've waited, and I'm still having to wait. Maybe if Orlando quit building skyscrapers for rich people and helped their own natives, this wouldn't be such an issue.

The operators are rude and seen to have a attitude all the time and that's sad. They hardly answer or return calls and emails then it's like they learn your phone number so that they don't answer you the next time you call. I guess there are no Supervisor at the building either. They playing and not working or answering and me and my kids out here homeless because noone will complete my port and issue me a voucher. God don't like ugly. If your not for the people then don't work for the people because at this point yall are no help.

When can I reapply for the Housing? My Name came up in a lottery and I never received any calls or notifications on it. Let's go, I'm homeless, living with relatives and in hotels and ported over from another city.

Where do I start…. All employees at this office should be fired starting with Thelma!! Thelma does not return any calls or emails! This is a public servant job- serve the people!! All employees here have horrific attitudes and are very rude! My taxes pay your salary for all you miserable ladies at Orlando Housing. Racketeering at it’s finest here in Orlando. Run- these place is a trash!

I definitely agree!!🤬🤬🤬
I had my appt today 4/29/19. But I am confused, they mentioned another housing in Orlando that I guess handle only section 8. They do both section 8 and public housing. Did I send my documents to the right housing? I don't understand. Thank you
Robert I’m looking for a property & I have voucher but yes go section 8 is the best place or you can go down too office & submit your property they will put it on this list with other properties
I want to apply for low income? Housing.but but need help with more information. I am on social security SSI disability
Good question
i would like to transfer my mass housing to florida, by March 1 how do i go about doing so?
East side of Orlando is a great side
I been on the waiting list since 2010 im still waiting
You’re going to have to just go down there
Yes we have tolls, Orlando is a great place to live, But you have to see for yourself
It all depends on your income
You never have to have a high income, this is Florida housing
No body awnsers good luck on leaving vm and getting a returned call
Go to Orlando housing authority and there should be an option to apply there unless they have it closed
You have to wait for an open date to apply for sec8 but for projects you just go to them and apply good luck
Hello. How long did it take for you to port in?
I live in N.Y.C. would my sec8 be the same .that im paying for a 3bedroom here be the same there. If is the same size unit
If you have forgotten the login or password you can contact the Admissions Department of the Orlando Housing Authority to look up your status.
Same issue i have an account on waiting list now canot log into my portal
I am not familiar with Section 42, so I cannot tell you how to apply to the Orlando Housing Authority.
The day after the last day it's due
Honey, you should go to the section 8 office and apply there for a waiting list, if I'm not mistaken, I think that waiting list is closed right now, but I recommend that you go and get better guidance because I don't recommend that you call, that's better to die go in person
I love my orlando housing authority, all the workers are greattt and they are very helpful reeves street love them all in that office very caring people……from sharise
It's best to call your case worker to get help, if no answer then you might have to go there, they are closed on Fridays
Call 211 and they will give you all the phone numbers you need
Orl.Oha.Org
Email them
You have to look for the address, number, email, of the person in charge of the transfer in Kissimmee, fl. Then you go to sec8 in PR, and fill out the paper with that information and then when you arrive in Kissimmee you have to communicate with the person in charge, to tell you if the papers arrived, also ask in pr, is what you have to do.
orlando housing authority.org
I do not understand your question. Call OHA in the morning after 8:30.
I work for them, what I can say is that the lists are long, call first, but the sites are well maintained, and if you have to come Florida is beautiful and Orlando is growing
My advice to you, is to go in person, and you will get the information you need regarding the status of your application.
Yes, but you have to have a place to go. Because when the transfer takes more or less a month the process.
Go online at www.orl-oha.org and apply.
You need to go to the housing authority and speak with them
Because he has a high income, so is the housing here
I never received any letter from them and mine say inactive to.im thinking it’s about the budget slowing everything down
Majeed : Charo is correct the waiting list is closed. I've been waiting 3 years. Until they "Ever" begin taking people off this list they can't possibly add more. Not to discourage you but their method is extremely slow. My son was 2yrs old when i applied before. He is 29 now. I went back and reapplied for myself because I'm now disabled. Oh being Disabled doesn't speed up the process either. Good luck dear.
how much and is it in a good area
First off please spell properly so i can understand.... lol small pet peeve of mine. Teacher for 30 years.😋 Go to your local Hud office, you have to go there to pick up landlord info and forms.
You need to talk with your worker at OHA. The landlord knows he's/she is liable at this point. That's why he gave you a 3 week notice. Also i too am disable and the Laws of Disability doesn't allow for unlawful eviction. Please speak with your worker at Orlando Housing Authority. They should help you with a new place. You may have to do paperwork explaining why you're requesting an immediate move but that's a small inquiry compared to having the break-ins and no assistant from your landlord. Good luck.😊 I'm🙏 for you.
They are now taking apps
These staff do not know what they do? They told me they are 5 years for a single person, I have four Esperanto I am disabled and they have removed me from the list twice without any reason, they returned me to the lists and still Esperanto and I am already a senior I am leaving to die and I will not see that apartment
