I drive from Cleveland regularly to see movies here because the theater is cute, the movie selection is great, and the emphasis on local concession products shows that they are about helping the local community at-large. I also like that the staff often gives a little background about the movie before the showings and thanks folks for attending. Favorite theater in Northeast Ohio.

I came here 4/17 to see Inland Empire, and had such a wonderful time. The staff was so warm and personable it made the experience stand out. The woman who was working there that day was so passionate about film and seemed to truly love sharing that passion with others. I enjoyed the little bit of context she gave about the movie before it started-- it added to my viewing experience quite a bit. Also she seemed to really appreciate patrons, it made me happy to get thanked for coming to see the movie lol. Other pros: fun popcorn seasonings, cute decor/ambiance, considerate theater-goers who won't be loud during the movie. I will definitely make the effort to see a movie here instead of other theaters in the area. :)

Wonderful local cinema showcasing independent films. Great atmosphere and very supportive of other local companies in our community. We highly recommend The Nightlight Cinema!!!

Love this place! Independent films on 1 screen, 52 cozy seats, leather recliners in front row, adult beverages, and a separate, private modern lounge for smaller screenings. One of my favorite parts is rigjr before the movie begins, one of their knowledgeable staff members comes into the theatre to introduce the film and speak about the movie, actors, director, film style, etc. Be sure to get there extra early so that you do not miss that part! The lobby/conversation hall has even been used for art gallery showings. Hands-down the best kept secret in Greater Akron! I've taken all my friends here and have purchased a membership!
