It's really an outstanding facility. The staff are always thorough with explaining the protocol and the different ranges allow for a variety of uses... The only issue I really have is the same issue I have with all free public ranges, which I why 3 stars will always be the maximum I rate any public range. Without fail, shortly after you arrive, you will see "that guy" come up as if he were waiting for you in the bushes. You know, "that guy" who insists on being an absolute d-bag every single chance he gets. The 3-time divorced, kids refuse to talk with him, wears a gun shirt at the range, sunglasses glued to his face, Jocko wannabe. You know, the guy who knows everything about every single firearm and firearm related topic but they always seem to be surprised that there are indeed other shooters around them at the moment "they" decided to come to the range... You know, that guy who calls "cease fire" and takes 15 minutes to check his target at 200 yards and flips out if your gun isn't bolt open/ mag out within a half-second of him declaring his wishes, yet when you call cease-fire he acts like it's the worst hindrance on his day... and that's IF he doesn't pretend like he didn't hear you yelling it 8 feet away from him. He sure heard me call him an "@$$-#∆le" and I was 30 feet away that time, so I don't understand how his hearing pro works. Here's the deal, if you're going to visit this range, come to terms with the fact that there will be other people there. If that bothers you GO TO A DIFFERENT RANGE! What are you doing here anyway with the common folk? Isn't there some special range for all you "elite operators" out there?

Very nice new area. Had only driven by the previous range. Very affordable option compared to indoor retail ranges. Pistol, rifle, shotgun, and archery areas. Very nice staff. Aim small, miss small! Practice, practice, practice!

Like every range it's crowded and dangerous. People are not very muzzle conscious when it comes to other human beings. Every range I've been to I see people pointing guns at each other completely oblivious. This is a really nice range but way too many people trying to use it at one time. You think the state would have these open all over the place and that they would stay open past 5:00 p.m. or on Mondays. It's deliberate keeping these hours because when people get off work they close shop. They should be open 24/7 when they're lit like this one is. Just pay at the gate but no you have to go talk to someone and show ID and all this other nonsense. The range at zalesky there's no one there you just walk on and use it!

Troy was incredible to talk to. Knew everything about the place and it's future state. It truly is an amazing place to go to. Will be back many times.
