My boyfriend and I were craving some Chinese food on this cozy, rainy day- We tried going to 4 other Chinese restaurants which were all closed for a 4th of July long weekend... Taste of Orient was our last hope and I was honestly slightly skeptical of this place just upon reading some of the scattered reviews. After this god-sent meal I can confidentially say I feel like the universe directed us to Taste of Orient simply to let you know this place is a GEM. Very generous portions for a great price, SO many options and the food is just down right delectable. Definitely making this my new go-to Chinese spot. *chef's kiss*

Above and beyond service! I placed an evening order with Uber Eats but Uber canceled + refunded my order due to lack of drivers. So someone from the store contacted me and drove the food to my apartment personally. They did not charge me for the meal and would not accept a tip. Thank you for making my night! I will remain a loyal customer

First time trying food from here. Sorry to say- but I did not like it at all. Ordered salt & pepper Taiwanese chicken and beef chow fun. I should have asked what part of chicken is used. It wasn’t white meat and had a different flavor/texture from leg/ thigh meat. I know some places use giblets but I cannot say for certain that is what they used. Either way- I didn’t like it. Beef was very hard to chew and pretty much inedible. I wont make the 20 min drive for this place again. The interior of the place was nice and staff was decent though.

Excellent value! We ordered 3 main dishes (two chicken, one vegetarian, all with rice), a large order of hot and sour soup, 10 pork dumplings, and 2 spring rolls. The total was $34.50! The cost of delivery was less than $3. And I tipped the driver. The food was delivered correctly within 40 minutes! The taste was very good and the portions were reasonable. (I prefer these portions rather than the super-giant, high-priced portions at Tai Bistro —a place I also like, but they don’t deliver.) Note: Next time I might not order the sweet-sour chicken for delivery because most of the crunch was gone by the time it arrived, but that’s normal for hot food traveling in airtight containers. And we live at the far edge of the delivery range, so I totally understand.) However, the broccoli was oerfect The order came with plenty of soy sauce, mustard, and a delicious dipping sauce for the dumplings, which were really really good, very plump and flavorful. The photo shows only a tiny part of the mountain of food we received. And we got a free egg roll; I don’t remember ordering it. It was delicious. Very friendly service by phone - nicest people! I will order again and again. THANK YOU!
