I came into GT Tire to have 4 of my own tires mounted. I was expecting this to be a very quick process, since I’ve always had fast experiences else where, but I was very wrong. I had a scheduled appointment for 2 pm. I showed up a few minutes early to be courteous. All my information was taken as well as my keys. I then proceeded to sit in the waiting area for 2 hours and 10 minutes for 4 tires to be mounted, which is absolutely terrible in my opinion, thank goodness I didn’t have any plans or else I wouldn’t have been able to attend because this service took so long. Once the service was done, I was then called up to pay. They automatically replaced 5 valve stems and added them to my total bill. I found that very very inconsiderate, since they did not notify me nor ask if I was okay with them being replaced and billed for. Whether they were needed or not I do not think it’s okay to do something and just add it onto someone’s total bill. I had high expectations for this local shop and they let me down.
