The trainers are all very kind. We were able to see some of the horses stables up and feed them carrots. And our ride was gorgeous! We did the two hour one. I would only recommend if it’s not too hot outside because there are some exposed areas. But overall very lovely route, trees and bridges, and we were able to see the horses being trained in their obstacle courses. I rode Charlie and he is a great horse.

Had a fantastic visit and really enjoyed the urban trail ride! We did the two hour ride and it was well worth it. I recommend for all levels of riding, as an experienced rider myself I had a great time riding with my first time friends! Great guide, friendly people, muscly and happy horses 🐎❤️

Help now to keep horseback riding available in Griffith Park! LA Horse Rentals offers very affordable rides for anyone looking to enjoy the trails and views above Los Angeles. I really enjoyed the hour long ride for only $40 and the $60 Skyline ride for hour and a half. Pretty remarkable offers for a horseback ride. I think everyone should try it at least once. It is soo worth it. Head over as soon as you can.

I wanted to go horseback riding, but thought it would be too expensive. I decided to research pricing in my area and LA Horse Rentals was super affordable! I booked that night for the next day. I was the only rider in my time slot and Milo was my guide. I went for the 1-hour trip - there was plenty of shade along the trail - but still lots of sunny spots, too. I'd say half and half. We had a wonderful conversation and a great time. Milo was nice and easy to talk to. He even took photos and videos on my phone for me of me on the horse while we were on the trail - they came out really nice. :) I highly recommend LA Horse Rentals and Milo for your horseback riding experience!

If you are going out on a group trail ride, the ride is at a walk only. You might want to call them to see if they will let you do a private ride, probably for a slightly higher price, where you can trot or lope a bit. Keep in mind that you are on Griffith Park trails that go through tunnels and have blind curves so much of the ride is in areas where it's really not safe to run the horses. There's a lot of horse traffic on the trails during the weekends so you might have a better chance of arranging the private ride during the weekdays.
Starting at $39/hr last I saw on their front sign.
Go to there website they have different trails and charge each of those trails differently
Right now due to covid 4 but you can always call and ask about bigger groups

If there are only one or two riders, they can usually handle walk-ins. If you have a larger group, it is best to have a reservation so they have enough horses ready for the trails. I have called in the morning for same-day appointments but find that it's best to call the day before for a larger group. Don't forget that they are now on winter hours, which means that first trail rides go out at 9 a.m. and the last trail rides come back in by 4 pm. That means that if you want to do a one-hour trail ride, you would need to be there and ready to ride at 3pm. Hope this helps.
