I see more Cypress police than Lakewood Sheriff. In Hawaiian Gardens. Everyone at the station. Sound fraud and covid, no manners or respect for oneself. Try to make reports, complains , compliments , no stars no knowledge no respect no love no sense of accomplishment. May 11.2022 I'm a US citizen.

Sounds like you either know someone or related to the so called public servants at this station. That is besides the point. Point being that SOME of the employee’s there are not conducting themselves accordingly. I’ve seen a lot of people come in to the lobby that seem lost. That’s probably because there is no present’s of a public servant. I too have shared that experience of where or how do I speak with someone. Luckily a civilian sitting in the lobby was nice enough to point me to a phone in which I dialed an extension # to speak with someone. In my opinion I waited in the lobby for too long. They might of been busy but I have a feeling that wasn’t the case. Mainly because I could hear chatter coming from a door where they come out. Keep in mind that there was only one other person waiting before me. Not a line of people. Why is it that feel like I’m at the DMV waiting for my # to be called? Yet there isn’t many people or nobody ahead of me. They make me feel as if they don’t care to do their job/duties as they swore to.l

This is my first time stepping into a police station to file a report and it was beyond disappointing. Quick back story, I got scammed buying a fake phone on OfferUp and since the sale took place in Lakewood, I had to file the report with the Lakewood Police Department. I called several times but their phone system was down so I walked in to the department to file an in-person report. After waiting about half an hour, I was met with an office named Williams, M. Right off the bat, his attitude was that he didn't want to take the report and was quite combative. I told him what happened and he constantly rebuffed my story as if he was there when the sale took place and said it didn't seem like a scam. I offered to show him the fake phone and explained how the seller switched the real phone for the fake phone when the transaction took place. He didn't even want to look at the phone and kept repeating that it wasn't a scam and it was a real phone. I showed him the phone and showed him different signs that clearly indicated it was a fake phone, for example, the word "keyboard" in the settings showed "keybord" and I said there was no way Apple could have mispelled it and he said it was possible. I also showed him a clear Android feature on the fake Iphone and he said it is a feature on Iphone as well which is not. After spending about 10 minutes explaining and getting nowhere since he clearly didn't want to help, he reluctantly provided me with a police report since I said I needed it to file a fraud complaint. Overall, I didn't have high expectations walking into that police station but after this interaction, I totally lost respect for the police force since if this is the kind of treatment that I would get as a victim of a crime, then there's no way justice can be adequately served for the victims in actual high-profile crimes. The lesson is the "Protect and Serve" slogan should be protect the police self interest and serve only themselves.
