Not the worst but not the best place to stay. It is right off the freeway so it is easy to get to. Down the street from down town El cajon so there is shopping and food places to easily get to. Also right down the street from the east county court house and the El cajon police station.

Positive: the location is close to restaurants and where I needed to be. It also has an elevator. Each room has a fridge and microwave. Negative: It is about a B- rated hotel and the first room we were assigned was smelly but we were given a better room right away. it would be nice if the rooms were given assigned parking spaces. Also, there is no breakfast beyond pastries, juice and fruit.

If I could rate this place less than one star I would. I booked our one night stay based of reviews of this place. Thinking it was a good safe place for myself and my babies to stay the night. I was sadly mistaken and anyone that has given this place a rave review in recent months are clearly being paid to do so! We checked in 4pm yesterday and checked out by 10p I didn’t even bother with any sorts of compensation for my 6hr stay 3 of which I wasn’t there. Extremely unsafe area. People screaming, clear visual drug deals in the back parking lot. My non smoking room that clearly smells like cigarettes, masked with an over abundance of air-freshener. The bedding that had cigarette burns in it. The Door that doesn’t fully shut properly, my two year old could open it. If you’re passing through and have children do not stay here!!! Extremely disappointed. Original plans were to get a good nights sleep and check out in the morning not 6hrs after checking in with two babies!!!

We checked in at 1AM. Desk clerk was very efficient and very pleasant. Room was clean. Non-smoking room and we didn't smell any smoke. A/C worked great and plenty of hot water. Housekeeping and daytime front desk were polite and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
