Good spot to pick up the trail. If you head to the lake, the path is paved. If you head to Vollmerhausen, there is gravel. Both paths are stroller-friendly, but the paved path is definite less bumpy. If you go towards the lake, there is no shade on the path in some areas. Be prepared if it’s a hot day!

We hiked the Wood Marr trail, 6.3 mile loop. It was great hike. A little challenging because it was so muddy, but mud happens.

Yes many people walk their dogs. Just follow the rules for disposing of pet waste.
There is parking lot next to the trailhead with about 10 parking spots.
Dogs were allowed when I was there last. Enjoy the walk.
