Disclaimer: this is for the West Covina office but they don’t have a Google review sooo here we go. Where to start… this is by far the most unprofessional, worst college someone can choose to go too. Charging horrific rates to students while providing a subpar level education, having a professor who refused to teach for the first few months of the year and acted sooo aggressive, rude, yelled at adult students like children and ignored her classes needs. She was so bad she was removed from the class and continued to talk badly about the class she left hanging for months, making them behind the courses because of her. ADDITIONALLY, having a class of nearly 40 with only 7-9 people passing the final out of 3 attempts. The exam is NOT LVN level and has questions that was proven to never have been taught through the courses. They are on the verge of losing their accreditation because of this. WORST of all is no matter if you pass all the courses with straight As in every test and assignment, if you do not pass their final which is all encompassing and well above the state boards level of LVN knowledge, you WILL NOT get credit for any of your work. The entire year and a half will be for nothing and will have to start all over. The list of atrocities is longer than I can go into here but anyone thinking about going here, avoid this school at all costs. Something is seriously wrong, it’s a business meant to take money while refusing to provide the minimum education expected of them.

This school is amazing! To Ms. Coleen in financial aid, she is really helpful and will help you fill out your fafsa if you don't know how to do the application. I went here for Surgical Tech program, but realized along the way that surgery wasn't my passion. The instructors for the Surgical tech program are incredible! Mrs. Foody was our Anatomy instructor and she was so patient, sweet, knowledgeable and answered l the questions i had during lecture, i ask a lot of questions! I had so much fun in her class. After Anatomy we moved on to our Surgical Tech instructor Ms. Duran! She was an intelligent and caring instructor! She is very knowledgeable in her field! I always had so much fun in her class too! MS. Gardiner, the director also seemed caring, I left the program before going into her class. Overall, I left very happy with the quality of education provided at Northwest!

I am currently enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician program. I will be done with all my modules at the end of June. Ms. Kelly really is the best teacher, she goes over everything in detail and will repeat herself for those who don’t understand. She keeps you on your toes and prepares you for your externship. I am excited for when I start externship in July. If you are interested in being a Pharmacy Tech, I recommend checking out the NWC LB campus.

I attended North West College and took the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. I graduated and was excited to begin my career only to find out that the program is not properly accredited. Therefore you cannot take your boards and get a job. I spent $40,000 and 18 months of my life only to have to go back to school. I am not sure about the other programs but I do not recommend the ultrasound program at North West College.

Is anyone that graduated from the DMS program now successful & were you able to get registered?

I'm not sure. Give them a call tomorrow. As far as being a successful student coming from that school, your chances are high. CAAHEP recognizes this school when you graduate. As far as bring registered, I'm not sure.
