Phone calls don't work, they either put you on long waits or hang up. When this is the only option you have to set up an appointment, given the pandemic, it certainly makes access to services very hard. I tried called other Social Security offices and did not have this issue (unfortunately, based on where I live I need the Inglewood office to solve my issue)

Just called this office and after holding the line for 20minutes after a quick hello I was placed me on hold for another 15 minutes. This very rude front desk person came back on the line to "assist" me did not let me finish any of my questions before speaking over me and not answering the question I asked, huff constantly as if I'm being a bother to her and in less than 2minutes in the middle of me asking a question THIS UNPROFESSIONAL 'LADY' HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME. 40mins wait for a 2min convo and no answer my questions. THEY HIRING ANYBODY THESE DAYS

THE WORST! This facility sent my personal original documentation to the incorrect address even though my application has the correct address. No one is able to assist and they are so rude! My passport and marriage license is lost somewhere along with my social security and they can care less! Ive never experience such a horrible services. They never answer the phone and when they do they try to rush you out of the line. I hate this place and regret ever contacting them!!!

Yes you can
Go to social security office with your husband and change the payee from them to you
They open till 4pm
Yes you do need to make an appointment and even though the offices say that they are open they are not open you can go to the door and the guard will give you the number to call and envelopes that are self addressed to send your information in. I repeat the offices are not open only the guard is that the door.
Based on my actual experience, google the Social Security administration phone number. Call that number and make an appointment. However, if you can't wait and you need to take care of something immediately , it's best to just go there and stand in line and wait. You'll see an interviewer and get your questions answered or take care of any other business that you need to take care of.
Can I get my kids social security card even if they not in y custody

You cant! That office is closed.
Over the phone due to covid.
Right now the Inglewood office is closed to the public. They are answering the phone and receiving faxes. You can also apply on line for your social security
I don't know but who are you
You can send your mail
PASSPORT & ID
I lost mine too. I'm bringing my drivers license to my local social security office to request an application for a replacement card. You can bring your ID if you don't have a license. Then wait for several hours to be seen, submit your application, and wait 2 weeks for it to show up in the mail.
