I love this place for so many reasons (gym, kids club, swimming and etc). My son (ADHD) is able to be himself in a welcoming warm environment. I normally work out while my son is taking swimming lessons. I've been told how much progress he has made in swimming so I left the gym 20 minutes to watch him. When I tell you they taught my kid so much ...they taught him so much. My baby dived in the water and started swimming. All I got to say is watch out Michael Phelps!!

If i can give this place a zero i would. where do i begin, first of all I cannot stand the directors Angelica Cortes or Leticia Leo. it's all about the money for these women just like the above reviews mention they are not here for the community only the money. They are the most disrespectful women i ever encounter they overprice gym membership $100 month childcare $1,000 exactly what were paying for sure not quality this place is dump and rip-off. Not to mention there roach problem, while i was using the restroom a roach went pass my foot and my daughter mention to me that she saw a family of water bugs in the children restroom. Additionally, she was given spoiled milk from childcare and had to spend the night in the hospital. I tried mentioning both incidents to both directors. they never returned my call, then i went up there Angelica rudely ignored me and slammed her office door, every time i try to speak to this she role her eyes twitching like she has trec syndrome so unprofessional. Leticia is more interest in finding hiding locations and spying on the girls in childcare with her paper and pen. one time i went up there this women was in the kitchen pretending to be doing something while watching them girls like a hawk. feel so sorry for the ladies the girls two Hispanic and one black girl they are the sweetest. unlike they're boss, i can only imagine how they feel walking on egg shell constantly being watched creates a hostile work environment. they don't deserve that and can do better. she should know just like you are watching them someone is watching you. Lastly, i wanted to know if i can get the licence number to this faculty because this place is dirty, fitly, cramped, and roach infested. Please avoid this place if possible dont send your child there all inner city kids your child come home never the same and mangers are awful and its a rip-off.

The locker rooms are always out of soap. Wear flipflops. Gym is clean, however I am a swimmer and the hours for lap swimming don't work for me because I work and by the time I get home from my commute swim lessons or swim team etc need the whole pool. I paid extra to use the different locations, however I have the same problem with the Lakewood pool. I am still a member so my family can go. I would totally pay a little extra if they could add the Torrance location more than a couple of times a month. That pool is awesome and on my way home and always has a lane at times that works for me.

I felt the need to comment after reading the one star review of this YMCA. I have been coming to this YMCA for years and I feel that it performs admirably if you want a low-key place to get your exercise in. Yes, the pool is busy in the summertime when the kids are not in school but I have never had a problem getting a lane to swim in (early mornings and lunches are less busy). And the staff has always been accommodating to my needs.

My grandson is moving to your community. He is leaving this evening. I am concern about where he will stay. Here in Pennsylvania, are YMCA have rooms to rent. I was wondering if your YMCA offers the same ?
