The day use is nice, definitely visit for the day use. This is a very RV centric campground, septic hookups abound. The state has virtually eliminated first come first served and is all reservation based. The camp hosts were nowhere to be seen. Just a poor example of how parks should be run. My recommendation is you camp elsewhere and use the day use.

Great camping/RV location with clean sites and bathrooms. Middle and south loops have full hookups. Nice hiking trails and good location to the little Deschutes river. Plenty of great sites to explore nearby.

Went for the free fishing weekend with the whole family just to get there and realize it's fly fishing only. So that was a bummer because we only brought 1 fly pole but that's okay. We just used the one pole and enjoyed the scenery. Beautiful .

I'm from Spokane visiting my second family from CT, and we decided to take a quick hike and loved it. Lots of diverse trails with various landscapes to explore. Both mapped and unmapped trails to explore. Really laid back. Next time I'm getting a license and bringing my poles. Saw a decent size fish in the river.

Look on Oregon state parks website for la pine state park and it gives you the rate. Its around $22.00 per night
They can vary, so it's best to check for the exact dates you want to go. You can look it up at https://oregonstateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/lapine-state-park/r/campgroundFees.do?contractCode=OR&parkId=402479 Looks like current standard full hookup rate is $32
Currently reservations are taken 30 days in advance for Oregon State Park campgrounds, due to COVID-19. In winter only the south loop is open.
No Wi-Fi. Cell service is limited. Verizon is better than T-mobile, but far from great.
We were there Labor Day week. We had a fire and could BBQ up until the fires started. The day the fires started they had to shut fires and BBQ'ing down. Check the Oregon State Parks website and it should tell you.
Yes there are spots with full hook ups. I thought I posted the picture with all the rates maybe not but yes there are
Only certain cabins are dog friendly not all of them are. I believe there are 3 dog friendly cabins. They have a great dog play area.
