Westech is the place to go for professional engine and chassis Dyno work and related services. The entire crew at Westech will always go above and beyond the call of customer service to take care of your engine tuning needs....👍👍

Today I had my GM 6.0 Dyno'd by Steve Brule and his staff. It was a simple great experience. It was a pleasure to meet and hang out with and talk to him and his staff for a couple hours. I look forward to doing it again.

Communication is the backbone of any successful business. I had made an appointment for the entire day starting at 8:30 am. Im not sure why, but as I was exiting the freeway shortly before 8, I got a call from Westech stating they would not be able to accommodate my car because it is a registered vehicle. Now, I have no opinion as to why, or who you want to work with for tuning, or vehicles that are acceptable...its not my business, Im not the owner...you certainly have that right to refuse business to anyone and I have nothing but respect for that as a business owner myself. However, you should probably disclose the aforementioned conditions to potential clients...especially when you leave a message the day before confirming the appointment...I have given referrals to Westech since I opened my shop in the high desert a few years ago based on the positive feed back I have received from my customers...a bit ironic that the guy sending and referring business is the guy that has the door slammed in his face. Smh...

Steve and company are great. I definitely recommend them if you want know what your custom build puts to the flywheel or to break-in/tune an engine for a resto project.

Questions & Answers

Smog legal cam for a 1999 Chevy S10. Read the review which states 40 extra horsepower. True or false. If true where do I purchase this?

You have to get a tune to see any type of gains. And 40 hp is a big stretch anyways.

Good morning. With all the Dyno experience you guys have, I thought you'd be the best to pose my question to: How much horse power / torque, power loss is there between the flywheel and the rear tires on my stock '96 Corvette LT-1 w/ 4L60E. Thanx

Typical converter and drive train loss is about 15%

Limited access by appointment only, social distancing and masks were required to enter facilities when I had dropped off and picked up my vehicle.

I have my appointment for the 20th of March. SB Chevy what engine oil should I put in it to break it in during the session? Also what appurtenances do I need to have on such as water pump, fuel pump, etc...?

Use high zinc break in oil like Lucas or Maxima. Make sure it is petroleum based oil. You cannot use synthetic oil to break in your engine. Call the shop phone and ask for Eric or Ish and they will go over your checklist

Contact Westec directly and speak with Eric.

Working on a sbc 383 stroker. aluminum heads. .550/220 cam. Love the look of the old TPI systems, but keep reading that it will not support this engine. Please advise. If not, what would be a better way to go? Thanks
