Had a late breakfast here and decided to try a half size of Don's Big Mess. It was very delicious and more than enough food, in fact, I probably could have gone for the mini Mess. The biscuits were the best biscuits that I have had at a restaurant in a long time and I'm pretty picky about biscuits and baked goods in general. Hubby had the meat and eggs; they don't currently serve smoked pork chops, which was a bit of a disappointment, but he did enjoy the bacon that he chose instead. Equally outstanding with the food was our server, Krista. She was genuinely kind and funny and even though I was already having a good day, she brightened it. Will definitely be back here again when we're in Salem.

Wow, first time here, our waiter was on the ball, never didn’t have anything to drink! Food was out pretty fast. Hot, and holy cow the taste was 10/10 I’m bringing my wife here on our next breakfast date. Would recommend to any and all!

I like that this place is "seat yourself", so you don't have to wait for someone to seat you and stand awkwardly in a lobby area or doorway. I noticed some people waiting around for to go orders and it was really busy so it must be a popular spot. Biscuits and gravy was really good, going to try something else next time. Waitress was nice and kept the coffee full. Will definitely return.
