Really terrific restaurant in St Helena. The food is straightforward but impeccably prepared - I had a French Dip that was perfect. The fillet mignon was also outstanding. The staff were exceptional as well, and the decor is tasteful. Truly a great place for lunch.

We enjoyed our lunch here. The chicken sandwich was impressive because of the pickled peppers inside! The oysters were nice!

Yeah, not my type of place. As soon as I stepped through the doors I received a few up and down looks as if "you're not a regular here" which I later interpreted as more pretentious and condescending. Was not under dressed. Service was friendly but inattentive. More importantly, the fish and chips were pathetic. Fish was disgusting and tasted like it was steamed and a creamy texture, gag. Thin but crispy fries. French dip was meh but tender with au jus. Experience was not memorable to say the least.

Market is in an historic building downtown St. Helena. The food and service was excellent. I had a really excellent heritage tomato bisque, followed by a fresh Dungeness crab Louie. My companion had the calamari and a Caesar salad. All of which was plenty of food for lunch. We shared their custard dessert, which was delicious. Parking is available (mostly) on the street or in a lot a block back.
