We will possibly be visiting South Dakota in mid September on our motorcycle. I am curious about the weather then. Also, we are interested in staying 2 or 3 nights in Sturgis. Are the restaurants and bars open at this time?

Hello! The weather in mid-September is absolutely beautiful! You can expect moderate temperatures, with a slight chill to the air in the evenings. We recommend packing a heavier coat just in case, but mostly light layers so you can adjust throughout the day accordingly. Hi! Our winter temperatures can vary widely, but usually range in the 20's or 30's Fahrenheit from roughly late November through early March. We get a decent amount of snow, and we have some GREAT winter outdoor recreation, cozy rooms and cabin rentals, and restaurants/bars that will warm you up in no time.
