It looks like a tiny park on the map but arriving there are so many winding paths and trails. I do wish things were labeled with information explaining it and what it is. Saw these amazing "100year old" chimneys but it doesn't explain why they were built or what they were part of.

Short hiking trails close to home. My wife, a 7 month puppy, a 3 month puppy and I covered most of the trails faily quick and without issues. We avoided walking the entire thing to avoid overexerting the 3 month old pup, but the overall experience was good.

We decided it was so nice out for a motorcycle ride we decided to ride somewhere we’ve never been before. It took us only 20 minutes. It was a nice place to walk. Took us awhile to find the very small cave. Found out we actually walked on it without realizing it.

Cave Spring Park is really beautiful. I went there with Team Rubicon to cut down some trees so, I didn't get a good chance to explore. I would love to visit again and explore more. The classroom/office area was nice and the ac was amazing after cutting down trees in this hot weather

Questions & Answers

Can you go in the cave?

Julia Magers | Jul 9, 2021
Heather Wood | Jul 10, 2021

Yes, but it is very small. Only about 6 or 8 feet deep and then it goes up and out under a tree. All together maybe 12 to 15 feet of cave. It goes back further on one side but the entrance is too narrow for access.

I don't know. We went metal detecting there, and no one seemed to mind.

How far do the caves go under ground?

It's barely a cave. It's big enough to walk in a few steps.

What time is the cave tour?

Hi, I am the Park Administrator. The Cave was actually closed in the early 70's for safety reasons. The current cave is only the entrance to it and goes back 8feet or so. Originally the cave went both off to the left and the right several hundred feet. As a child I explored it. We are currently looking into options for re-opening it or other alternatives. There are no tour times. Thanks Cave Spring Park
