It was hilarious in a good way! Must say very entertaining. Con: my friends and I were barely able to watch the fights because it's so crowed. They should have projectors or big screens to stream the fights.

I have been to many concerts at the Oakland Metro Opera house. For the most part laid back setting. I will get lucky and see a lot of concerts on a Monday od Tuesday (my days off). I have never seen a fight their. I haven't tried the food,a lot of good restaurants and bars are within blocks of the metro. Jack London square is close if you get their early. Overall I have never had a bad time.

Bathroom flooded when I went. Dirty but works well for metal shows. Bars are easily accessible if you want to drink, I didn't. Great show distracted me from the warehous feel.

First time here, great venue! Two bars, two stages. Clean restrooms, that in itself is worth 4 stars, hello! Friendly staff from the security at the door to the ticket booth, bartenders, and merchandise sellers. All around great night.

I am a concert photographer. It depends on which show or which tour you are attending. If it's a local show, it's fine. If it's a tour package, call ahead and ask the Metro. However, most of the time they will not know if the tour is requiring photo passes for cameras until they speak to a tour manager, usually the day of the show. Whatever you do, do NOT leave your camera/gear in the car!!!!!! Or anything else visible for that matter. Car break-ins are well known in that area and thieves watch people putting in and taking out stuff from their car. Good luck!
It's probably closer to Lake Merritt station, but easily walkable from 12th Street City Center.
Street parking, highly recommend parking in the garage across the street
There is two bar areas. No food inside but some events have a dude outside cooking sausages.
