I saw the blue building driving to work every day and decided to give it a try. The service is friendly and the restaurant is very clean so the only real test was the food itself. I wasn't disappointed. Their tamales are some of the best I've had in KC but they run out of them too fast so call ahead if that's what you're going for. Everything I've had so far on their menu was worth going back for and the prices are very reasonable but the only bad thing is their parking situation. The small lot behind the building is intended for employees and is easy to get trapped in by other cars parking behind you or in the street blocking the entrance. Also, Their public lot a half a block east doesn't feel safe. Street parking on Jackson as close to Truman Road as possible is recommended but if you have to park further away just lock your car doors and be aware of your surroundings.

Sunday is not the day to go here. The food is delicious but the service was horrible, since there was only 1 waitress for the whole restaurant. I've been here several times during the day and week nights, but I highly do not recommend coming here on Sundays. We had to seat ourselves at a dirty table and 10 mins later, the waitress came and cleaned it up while we are sitting there. I felt bad for her ripping and running through out the whole restaurant serving everyone. And the girl at the register does not speak English and will help people standing in line behind us, all because she can communicate with them and not us.

I love coming here for lunch. The ladies are always nice and helpful. The picture below is one of my favorite dishes that I get to go. Plus, I love their plantains 🥰🥰

Good service, and authentic Salvadorean food. I recommend their Pupusas.
