Horrible staff with horrible customer service skills. Need better training. A few years ago I experienced a staff being racist to me ( A Black woman) and my friend also A Black woman. It was very shocking what he said to us. At the time I was 17. Very terrible. Today A staff was very rude to me and spoke to me as if I couldn't comprehend what she was saying.... I take bart all the time an this station is one of the most horrible ones. I hope all staff learn to treat riders respectfully and Like human beings.

Okay. I think this station has been upgraded. Parking is huge (but I live nearby and just walk). Station looks functional, but food station at the entrance is closed (maybe because of the pandemic). I've been commuting the last month and haven't had any issues besides sometimes they will stop near Concord to swap staff.

The design of the walkway (directly over the highway) means there's a LOT of traffic noise, and the floor is wet when it rains. Like all the stops they put in the middle of the highway, it's super noisy at the platform. Unless you're coming past 10am, at which all the unoccupied reserved spots get freed up, I'd say forget it. I usually work swing, so it takes me a bit but I can usually find one. There's been a couple times where I haven't, and I've been forced to commute by car. I haven't seen any break-ins personally, and I've never had it happen to me (I've had my car described as looking like it belongs to a drug dealer that would definitely kill people, so I'm sure that helps), but I can see it happening. The parking lot isn't super well lit, and the police don't seem to patrol after dark--they just hang out at the entrance. It's the last stop for the line, so there's always a handful of people that don't have anywhere else to go at the end of the night. Occasionally there'll be one or two people begging. There's sometimes people pamphleting inside, too. Unless it's summer, it can get frigid while you wait for a ride, even if you're inside, and it's frequently windy. No attendant that I've ever seen, although there's usually a BART police cruiser or two outside. There's usually a string of taxis after dark, and some less during the day. On the upshot, the coffee people are nice.

Glad I moved from Antioch a decade ago because commuting via BART at this station is awful unless its the weekend and you're just trying to get to San Francisco. Beggars, thugs, drug dealers, drug addicts, homeless people, dumpster divers and ghetto shady characters will be your crowd at this station. Parking is ridiculous, never enough spaces and no plans to change anything. But BART fares always increasing while service declines. Bathrooms are always disgusting, no security or safety here. The smell of marijuana and litter everywhere. Don't be caught here at night alone, especially if you are a female. Coffee shop is a joke. Commutes are awful, completely packed trains and it costs about $20 round trip to get to San Francisco and back. Came back to visit this year and nothings changed and it is much worse than ever before.
