Rented a camera there, a Nikon Z5, and loved the experience! If you are a photographer looking to try out a new camera or an amateur just looking to take some good shots rather than using your cell phone, this is a great place to go! Knowledgeable staff and great pricing/terms on rentals!

Much more than I imagined. More equipment, more services, more staff working on more aspects of more photography categories than I'd imagined. I got more cash than I expected for the equipment I sold to them. Staff was very knowledgeable, and professional. Good experience all around. If you're ever trying to sell photography equipment, DON'T go to the pawn shop, go to Shutterbug.

Went in looking for a TTL flash for my Olympus. They had one low-end Oly brand strobe at premium retail price. The also had a used Nissin - third-party flash, as well as the matching wireless transceiver. These were $199 each. I looked up the Nissen web site. MSRP was $249 for the pair. Other online shops, of course, had the set discounted to $199.. Shutterbug was charging double the new price for the used gear. The salesman didn't know anything about the equipment and couldn't tell me anything useful about either flash. He didn't know whether the Oly flash was wireless; Hector me it wasn't. I had to open and read the manual to find that it was. So, what this store offered me was nothing more than last-minute convenience, with extremely limited selection, at an enormous markup. On the bright side, it's next door to a cannabis dispensary, giving new meaning to a "wasted trip." I mourn the death of local retail shops, and used to love frequenting good camera stores and talking to the pros for their expert advice. But this place is a sad reminder of an lost era.

As a camera beginner, I came in with a list of questions in regards to what I needed in a camera. Within minutes, Mike was able to identify a great camera for me. He listened to every question and answered them all! I was sincerely impressed with the information he gave and with his patience with a beginner. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Shutterbug for follow up questions or additional equipment. There were no pushy sales techniques or attempts to upsell me with items I didn’t need. He gave me all of the information I needed so I absolutely purchased my camera through him. I settled on a new Canon Mark II with a great warranty. I wasn’t the only happy customer in the store, it was easy tell they have a loyal following for good reason. 10/10 recommend.

Yes they have a selection of used cameras and lenses. They do buy as well but get a quote first and see if Craigslist might be better.
Yes. Gift cards in any amount.
Yes. Kodak Portra 160, Fuji Pro400H, T-Max +Tri-X.
They offer repairs and cleaning services for cameras and lenses.
Masks and social distancing is required. Half of our printing stations (kiosks) are turned off for safe distancing. We have plenty of space and remain under 25% capacity. Masks and hand sanitizer are available at the doorway if needed. Increased cleaning frequency between customs at kiosks too.
Yes, thanks for asking. No appointment is needed, but we do ask that you come in before 5pm. They are currently priced at $30 per pair.
I'm sorry I didn't see this question earlier. We do have it in stock now, it is from Keysmart and it's called CleanLight. We have it at $119. https://www.getkeysmart.com/products/cleanlight-air
They offer repair services and/or have direct lines to the repair services of major Camera brands. I just had them check out my Sony A7RII and send it into Sony to repair for me, very easy process.
Yes, we have a number of cases that work. Some of our favorites our from Santa Rosa based Thinktank. Please bring in your camera with your favorite lens so we find one that works for you.
You can add the date as text when you print. The date on the back is the date it was printed, not taken. Some cameras have a setting to turn on called "date imprint." We can help you find that if it is there.
Yes. Wireless printing from the phone is available, while you wait- 7 days a week. You can also send in an order from the iPhone app "Shutterbug Camera Shops." Those prints are available for pickup in 24 hours Monday-Saturday.
If you want to make a presentation of your images, it would be easier for them to make a DVD or mp4 movie slideshow from your pictures. It would be more complicated to take your pictures and convert them into slides that go in the carousel. It involves taking pictures of your pictures using special slide film (which Shutterbug could develop, takes 7-10 days) and then finding someone to mount them into the square holders for the carousel.

Annette, I'm sorry I didn't see your question earlier If you search for Shutterbug Camera Shops on your iPhone in the App store you'll find our app that lets you order photo prints or gifts, books or upload to kiosk for in-store help or express prints. For Android you can order directly from our website using your phone or use the Upload to Kiosk app for in-store help and/or express prints.
