Worst shrimp scampi ever!! The menu had several entree selections with “fiery butter” or “fiery sauce” listed. I appreciate menus that describe a dish that is going to be spicy hot because I don’t like spicy hot. So I avoided all of those and selected the shrimp scampi which described a traditional shrimp scampi with white wine, cream and garlic. Unfortunately, the scampi was SUPER SPICY HOT CLEARLY LOADED with red pepper flakes- so hot I could not eat it. They attempted a 2nd try, with similar results. If it wasn’t bad enough that the food was inedible, then the server challenged me and told me how small children eat the same dish all the time and love it. I asked the server what was in the sauce that made it so spicy, she said white wine, butter, garlic. I pointed to the red flakes the pasta was saturated with and she stated, oh yes, maybe 1 red pepper flake. Supporting small family owned local restaurants is important to me. However, when you have one like Frank’s in Parkville Mo who would rather challenge their customers instead of making the dish per the menu, then this must be the reason the restaurant was empty on a busy Saturday evening. I won’t be back. Pasta should not have a hot pepper rating, unless you are eating in a shopping mall food quart.

Husband grew up going here, hasn't been in 30 years and has lately been craving their salad dressing. Back when he went, Frank's was in the building across the street but he said the House Italian dressing is exactly how he remembered it. I loved it also, had just the right amount of spice to it. I got the chicken Parmigiano, he got the spaghetti and meatballs. Both were absolutely fantastic, sauce was a bit sweeter than I'm used to but I loved it. On top of the food being great our server was amazing too, I can't remember his name but he was very friendly, attentive, gave recommendations and just took great care of us. Thank you for a great date night, we definitely will be trying the breakfast if we're ever in the area on a weekend morning.

I tried some lunch for the first time here the other day, and had to come back today for brunch. For lunch, the spicy diavolo sauce was lovely! The bread and salad are also very good. The tiramisu was amazing. For brunch, I had a mimosa, French toast, potatoes, and bacon. I normally like my bacon very crispy but the soft, melty texture and rich flavor was perfect. The peppers and Parmesan in the potatoes were very yummy! Excellent wine, food, and service with cozy ambience. Definitely recommend.

My hubby surprised me with a little "staycation" getaway for my birthday. We spent the night at an Airbnb in Parkville, MO & we were so surprised to learn that the little Italian place on the corner called Frank's served breakfast! We were intrigued, so we gave it a shot. It was delicious. I had the Chicken Alfredo Omelette, my husband had the Tuscany Frittata, and we split a side of French toast. It is a charming little restaurant. Friendly staff, and a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back! I'm excited to try it for dinner as well!
